Banbury Sansburys

I happened across a brief reference to Walter Richard Sansbury in the History of Banbury (page 49, or just do a “find”)

Actually... I’ve tried to figure out how those Banbury Sansburys relate. My guess is their “patriarch” Amos Sansbury was from the Market Lavington crew. They seem to have been recorded as “Sansbury” quite consistently.

If Amos belongs where I think he belongs, his oldest brother William (gent., son and heir of William S. and Joan Gearing) was himself married in Banbury, to a local widow, in 1655.

Came across a Henry Sansbury age 26 arriving in NY in 1945. Son of William H Sansbury, both of Banbury.
